I was accepted into UBC’s faculty of Science and Northeastern CCIS. NEU also put me in the Honors program which is amazing, but I CANNOT make a decision between them.
They both have co-op, though NEU’s might be better I feel, but that’s practically guessing at this point. And they both have awesome Computer Science programs (which is what I wanna do)
Based off rankings alone, UBC wins for sure but on the other NEU’s been rising quite rapidly and I haven’t heard anything bad about it (and trust me I’ve done my research live and online).
One thing about NEU is that it’s in Boston, but UBC’s location is pretty amazing too.
I heard that the party scene at NEU isn’t the best though, and that it can be hard to make friends, but UBC might not be that much better.
So in short: They’re pretty damn similar (it’s pissing me off), UBC has better rankings but they both seem to have good names, but in NEU:
- Im already in Computer Science
- I’m in the Honors Program
- It’s a private instution so the class sizes should be smaller which means a more personalized education.
I’m sorry if this post is a bit rambly/disorganized but I reallt need to figure this out it’s gonna drive me crazy.
P.S.: Cost is not a problem for me
