Northeastern Pharmacy Program vs. USC

Hello! I'm new to CC, so I'm not sure if I posted this in the right place.

I was admitted to Northeastern PharmD program with full tuition + honors program. Has anyone heard anything about pharmD co-ops ?
I was also rejected from USC (Major: Biology), but I was invited to join the Trojan Transfer Plan. From what I know about the plan is that I'm supposed to schedule a meeting with USC Admissions staff to develop a personalized plan to transfer to USC after two-three semesters. I must first enroll in a college(I'm not sure what type) and earn a pretty good GPA. I've seen from other threads that if I do follow through with my plan, the chances of successfully transferring is pretty high. On the down side, if I don't successfully transfer, that wouldn't be good. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I want to appeal to USC, but I know the chances of overturning the appeal are low.
My parents also prefer me to go to USC and they claim that money isn't a factor.

By looking at future job prospects and future overall, which path should I take? Go with Northeastern or attempt to transfer. Thank you. Any response is appreciated. :)

Should I have posted this in the admissions forum? I"m not sure. lol

Well I don’t know anything about specific programs or if you should transfer, etc.

But those are two completely different majors. One is a pharmacy degree, and one is biology. Biology could go to a pharmacy program afterwards, but that would mean even more money on top of what you gave to USC and even more time. From the pharmd program, you could drop out and transfer into biology, but it’s impossible to do the opposite.

Keep that in mind when making your decision. If you think you might want regular bio and pharmd was just a random choice, then don’t do pharmd.

Yeah, I agree.
I put Biology down as a major because I didn’t take AP Chemistry in my high school curriculum so I thought it would be more viable and normal if I put Biology as my major.

Thanks! I appreciate the response.

Definitely northeastern, co op program is really appealing, definitely a school I’m considering (didn’t get into USC)
