Northeastern Pharmacy School..

Oh really? Thanks for the info! Are you a student?
My sister is going there next year, she’s a senior right now (im a year younger)… she’s for pharmacy too

^I’ll be an incoming freshman in the fall. But I’m undeclared in Arts & Sciences and honors program… so I don’t know much (well, anything) about pharmacy. I’m excited to be going in a few months!!

haha. i can’t wait until next year
On july 7th which is the welcome day or something for the new freshman, ill be there visiting (cuz that’s when my sister will be having an orientation of something)

Yeah, I’m really excited for June orientation. Have a great time!! :)

For sweetarte - From the NEU website:

Please note that, due to limited space, we do not accept undergraduate transfer applications into the following majors:

Health Science
Nursing
Pharmacy
Physical Therapy

Is applying as a pharmacy major (to NU) the same as the pharmacy program? I applied to the school of health sciences as a pharmacy major and got in. Is that the 6-year program?

Accepted into the PharmD program!

congrats! what are your stats?

For smartheart - if you were accepted as a pharmacy major, it was for the 0-6 program. You have to take the required pre-pharm courses in year 1-2 and have >2.7 GPA at the end of your sophomore year to continue and then a 2.0 with no less than a C (for example a C- is a failing grade) in years 3-6. You’ll get a B.S. in Pharmacy Studies at the end of year 5 and a PharmD at the end of year 6.

but what was ur stats, what did u do, plz give me some tips for getting in these places!

I would say the Pharmacy school is getting more competitive every year, SAT 2000 is minimum, work for 2100+ and high GPA to get in.

I applied as a chemical engineering major as was accepted for this upcoming fall semester. I will be entering as a freshman. How hard is it or is it even possible for me to transfer into the pharmacy program. Do I have to do almost another application or is it as easy as switching majors?

Just a quick question, where did you guys find out about your acceptances? Mail/Email/Called?
I checked their online status, but I feel like it’s one of those status checkers that don’t tell you accepted/rejected.

If you want to get into the PharmD program, you should investigate now. Transferring once you enter might be very difficult since there are only so many spots for the entering class. DS was accepted in the mechanical engineering program, but was able to change right after being accepted (in the spring before entering in the fall). However that was five years ago, so things may have changed. Would suggest that you inquire immediately if you really want to change majors.
