Northeastern PharmD Hopefuls

Who else is applying to NU PharmD program?
Post away your stats. It would be appreciated if those who were admitted to the PharmD program last year could post their stats?

I applied EA and I’m very nervous!

GPA: 96.0125
Class Rank: at this moment: 2/72
SAT: 1960 M:630 CR:670 W:660
Classes: lots of honors/college level…and I’m in a medical program where I’m doing rotations in and around a hospital every day…and I’m actually doing one in a retail pharmacy this week (yay!)
ECS: cheerleading, secretary of yearbook club and student council, vice president of music club, first chair oboe
Recs&Essays: Great (of course I’m going to think my own essay is great though haha)

I’m really worried that my SAT is going to hurt my chances. I feel like everyone else applying into the pharmacy program is going to have at least in the 2000s. =X

Good luck to everyone applying!

3.7 unweighted GPA
740 W 680 M 680 CR

@ek83645 your sats are fine =)

:d waiting for EA notifications!

SAT: 2240
GPA: 4.3 (weighted)
RANK: top 10%

heard there is only 110 spots for this program? is this true?

i really hope thats not true haha

Yes there are few seats but they several times the number of seats they have. Not everyone that is accepted goes. Northeastern is an expensive school even with scholarships (so they’ll chose another cheaper pharmacy school( and most of the people who get accepted also get accepted into other very good pharmacy schools like Rutgers.

ACT:35
GPA: 92.4 or a 3.7something, top 10%, top 10 US school.
ECs: 4 yrs varsity swimming, envi sci research, TSA state & national awards, NHS,
volunteer work, etc. laziness lulz.

Already accepted to Rutgers PharmD, which is 8% but 200 seats and probably more acceptances.

If you were accepted into Pharm D…
Please post your basic stats and how much you received in scholarship dollars!

My stats are up above in this thread…

I was accepted and I got $26,500 a year in Northeastern Grants

So excited!

i applied for the PharmD program as well, but just a general question. Can you get accepted to NEU but not to their pharmacy program?

ACCEPTED  stats above!

Accepted    hahahahahaha I’m so happy right now ;)

Accepted, Dean’s Scholarship + Fin Aid.

Accepted. Where is that NU PharmD 2017 page?

I posted this question in another thread…
Here’s my question on scholarships. It’s a 0-6 program. You only pay tuition when you are in classes and not in Co-op, so I get why they make the scholarships per semester, so it is paid when you are in classes. My question is, did they tell you how many semesters you’ll receive the scholarship? Was it 8 semesters (the equivalent of 4 years) or 12 semesters to cover all 6 years? My S applied regular decision, so it will be awhile before he hears.

@Titanmom: When I received my Scholarship letter from Northeastern, it said it would only cover up to 8 semesters (equivalent to approx. 4 years). They don’t extend the scholarship to 6 years for us PharmD people, unfortunately. HOwever, it did say on the letter that for PharmD and Physical Therapy students, they would “receive the scholarship in pro-rated amounts for the clinical/graduate portion of the program.” For example, I was offered $80k in merit scholarships, but that amount is going to be spread out evenly throughout the 6 years of Pharmacy school.

For anyone who didn’t post stats who got PharmD honors, care to do me a favor and do so? I’m just figuring out why I didn’t get honors hahaha.

@everlastingwish: SAT superscored 2230. M 800, W:690, CR: 740.
