@quinntheeskimo It all depends on how many students accept their offers of admission. Last year no one was admitted from a small waitlist. In past years a few students were accepted off the waitlist in late April. In other years some students were offered regular admission and NUIn admission in May, based on posts here on CC.
It appears that Northeastern took a conservative approach to admission this cycle so there may be more movement off the waitlist than in the past.

I got into Northeastern and waitlisted by Amherst. How did I get rejected from William and Mary oos?

When I applied to Northeastern I did not know anything about it and thought of it as a safety (from Texas). Boy was I WRONG! After getting accepted I did research and realize it is a great school. Does anyone know their acceptance rate this year?

Their oos acceptance rate is 29%, higher than Northeastern.
Acceptance rate isn’t necessarily the best indicator of applicant quality. These days it may have a bit more to do with how many likely rejects are still induced to apply. W&M is a bit higher ranked in USNews and is known as a tougher admit OOS, so I just wouldn’t have expected W&M to be a sure admit.
