Northeastern RD instead of EA

Hi guys! So I didnt discover Northeastern until like December because the college process gives me anxiety and I kept putting it off and whatnot. Anyway, I have a 31 ACT and about a 4.0 GPA, but I think what I am more asking of is my chances if I apply regular decision vs early action. Obviously I can’t apply early action anymore, but I guess what Im asking is if regular decision applicants really stand much of a chance against EA? I can still apply RD and Northeastern still interests me, but if the chances are really low I guess theres not really a point. Of course I would love to apply, but I just wanna be realistic. With both EA and ED Im not sure there are many spots left for RD applicants.

There is no difference between acceptance rates for EA and RD.

Only ED gives an advantage.

I’m not sure how much Covid has changed things but last year my NU freshman was deferred EA and accepted RD with a 34 ACT and 4.0 UW, 4.75 W GPA. He also got a Dean’s Scholarship, so EA deferral can turn out ok.

Northeastern does have ED2 if it’s your first choice, idk how much of a boost ED2 kids get over RD kids but it is also an option
