I assume you mean the expectations of increased waitlist activity this year:

I heard it from my daughter’s school college application counselors, and also read it in a Washington Post article detailing what admissions officers at colleges are expecting this year, especially with all the uncertainty of COVID/economic downturn/geographic considerations (people might prefer to attend schools closer, over their school-focused application priorities that led to their application decisions say back in December).

It’s all speculations of course, but in this case it’s speculations by those in college admissions committees and in the Common App organization.

When I was accepted EA in January from MD, I did not get my decision until 9:21 pm, even though according to the “wave” grid, it should’ve been hours earlier.

My son got in. We are from NJ and the results for him came around 5pm and he got a 27K merit scolarship
