I took it for a baseline score then had SAT prep classes to improve my score. Those got cancelled then all of my tests got cancelled. Covid definitely did not allow me to get the highest score I could and it did the same for many other people. I don’t think people that applied test optional should be discredited and that was what that person was doing.

For accepted students into NeU in how easy it to change from CS + Economics to CS + Business administration?
How does the process work can we change before we start in Fall or change later ?

If we request change that means we will go into again pending decision process and we may loose the acceptance?
I don’t know about CS but in the NU Parents Facebook group I see that some students do co-ops in CA, including at Tesla, and NU offers housing in Mountain View. My son is taking a business class with a Silicon Valley executive who teaches remotely from CA and likes it very much.

A change requested within the same college should only take a day or two max, maybe a few days. Since Econ and Business Admin are in the same college, it will not take a long time and won’t require you to reapply.

If you have an admitted student you can join the NU Parents Facebook group. From reading the comments, it sounds like some kids really enjoyed it and others felt isolated, but hopefully next year’s freshmen have fewer social restrictions due to Covid-19. Overall the school’s goal was to “protect the pack” and did that, but some kids had trouble making friends.
No, unless it is a college specific scholarship like Women in Engineering or a CAMD scholarship.
No, from past years it is pretty much immediate. Exceptions are if you want to switch into pharmacy, nursing, physical therapy or the portfolio programs in CAMD.
Wow, that is so cool! I didn’t expect NU would offer housing in Ca. We are in the Bay Area, it’s icing on the cake if my son can do coop close to home:). Glad to hear your son enjoys his experiences with teacher from CA! Thanks for sharing!
My son was accepted in cs with honor scholarship. We probably need to go visit before make decision (wonder how much we can see though bc current campus close). Really sorry for the students, hopefully social life on campus will be much better this fall when school re opens.
