You must be crazy to send an acceptance this year to someone and have them be required to spend first semester abroad. And make it nonnegotiable. This easily narrows it down to Tulane, Georgia Tech or BU!
Is NU Bound only for international applicants? Did anyone get NU Bound who is not an international student?
NU Bound is now a program for domestic and international students. I was also offered an admissions to NU Bound.

They are also allowing you to spend your first semester in Boston.
They have 3 options on NUin letter now 1. Different country 2. Boston NUin 3. online ( less money no dorm fee ) direct NU program

I’m American and offered NU Bound, London option only. To be honest, I don’t know why I was chosen. Someone mentioned due to ability to pay. I don’t know.
What’s the major ? I don’t think it’s mandatory due to Covid you can definitely ask for Boston option what I believe

NUin and NU Bound are two completely different programs- I think that’s part of the confusion in the comments above. NU Bound has only a full year in England option. NUin is first semester and has various international options (depending on the school to which you were admitted) as well as Boston.

NU is not England bound option , this what my letter says for CS

I believe there is confusion over two different programs. NU Bound’s location is London only and it’s for a full year. NUin’s program is for one semester only and includes the locations you posted, although I do believe that not every international location is available for every major.
Please someone correct me if my info is not right as I don’t want to mislead anyone.
Definitely need to do some more research.

Pretty sure that is an accommodation for those who do not want to or unable to participate in person due to COVID.

Same boat here. Lots of other opportunities including full scholarships at higher ranked schools. Northeastern is pushing away other school’s top candidates with a program that sounds like it creates second class citizens.
Sounds like you are talking about NUIN. Three choices: international destination based on major, Boston option, or remote online.

Your student has full scholarships at higher ranked schools. If she had received regular admission to Northeastern would she have attended?

With the same scholarship offered for NUin… possibly. We would have come and toured the school. Boston was very appealing
