If your kids got into NEU and Umass Amherst this year, can you please let me know their GPA and Sat scores to see
what the acceptance criteria is for this year?

I got into both!
White female from Boston area.
GPA: 3.9 UW
SAT 2230- 780 CR/670 M/780W
UMass Amherst- Commonwealth Honors College, 3K merit/yr (why is Umass so bad with merit?)
NEU- Accepted for fall, but no merit and no honors college

Thanks for the info. Yeah I heard that UMass isn’t giving much scholarship these days. Congrats!

Did you apply early action or regular for these two schools?

Ya, merit aid instate is tough to come by.

My SAT 1670 got me into Northeastern honors and presidential global scholarship.
But I guess my 3.7 GPA and strong resume balanced it.

UMass Amherst- Commonwealth Honors College, 2k/yr dean’s award
I was not invited to NU’s honor college and did not receive merit aid
I applied to both RD

Do you think there is more merit $ for out of Mass residents? GPA 3.8 UW and 1900 SAT
A very strong resume ( sports, volunteer, and leadership roles) as well as high rigor.
