Northeastern University (Boston, MA)

What can you tell me about NEU?
I am really interested in their Co-op program. Anyone have any info on transferring in?

Thanks!

Here’s my two cents…

Move to Boston, holler at guys. You may keep the good-looking faces, but the comical ones… please send them to L.A. for me. Thanks.

Sorry, Evan Samuel… I don’t know anything about Northeastern except everything you’ve told me. Just don’t come back with an accent if you go there. I like the way you talk.

What school are you looking into transferring to? (i.e. College of Arts and Science, College of Business, etc)

I am transferring out of NEU, perhaps I can answer some of your questions about the school. Also, I’ve heard the College of Business is the hardest to transfer into.

I would be transferring into the college of Arts and Science.
Why/Where are you transferring?

I’m transferring from NEU’s business school to Wharton. Although the co-op program is great, I am looking for a little more than the business curriculum that is offered at NEU.

Are you from the Boston/New England area? I am from Sunny Southern California (goodbye 80 degree Christmas?) and I have literally been to Boston/NEU for 3 days. (I stayed there for a conference once). I enjoyed it then. What about campus life? School “spirit”? Things like that. Oh- and Financial aid- are they pretty generous?

Sorry I am asking so many questions- no one else here in San Diego really knows too much about the school. Thank you!

I am actually from New Jersey.

School spirit seems to be its highest during hockey games. Other than that I could say its pretty mild. Campus life is pretty outgoing. People hanging around outside during warm days and inside during the winter (long winters). Parties are easy to find and the campus is relatively small. Boston is pretty accessible since there are two train lines that run through campus.

In terms of Financial Aid, aid does not seem to be that generous. I live with a single parent making about $40k a year and I still had to pay half the tuition.
