Rejected!

Hey guys, new to the thread but I’ve been following it for awhile. I applied for Human Service in the International Affairs program, and was rejected. Did anyone get an acceptance yesterday? This is what my rejection letter said:

Thank you for your application to Northeastern University. The Admissions Committee has completed its review of your application, and I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you for admission to the Fall 2019 semester.

Admission to Northeastern is highly competitive and with an increased number of applications, the Admissions Committee had to make fine distinctions among qualified applicants. At this time, we have reached capacity for the Fall 2019 term due to the number of applicants who have accepted our offer of admission. The next available opportunity to apply for transfer admission is for the Spring 2020 term.

If you are planning on taking courses during the upcoming semester, Northeastern has an extensive list of equivalent courses to assist with your course selection.

While I understand you may be disappointed with this decision, please know that it is a reflection of our space limitations and the competitiveness of the admission process. We sincerely appreciate your interest in Northeastern University, and we wish you the best as you work toward fulfilling your educational goals.

Was this similar to anyone elses? Congrats to everyone who got in btw!

Hi I am committed and looking for a roomate

im going to orientation on august 30th, is anyone else going then?

When did you get the email of acceptance? @postmalone15

Ive been waiting since march 13th for my financial aid and I still haven’t gotten it  Literally the only thing holding me back from putting my deposit in.

@GordonHayward So then what did you do when the deadline to enroll was May 29th?

May 7

Anyone still on this thread? If anyone is and you’re still looking for roommates, message me please! It’s hard out here finding a place for cheap that’s not a box or sketchy, esp at this time of year. Or for people who have found a place, how did you do it?

@badblood I still need a roommate Contact me its actually really hard finding a place

I just wanted to add this for next year’s applicants. Especially those unsure about chances as it’s obviously a stressful process.
Rejected, from liberal arts university in NY, 3.6 gpa, received leadership awards and had awesome extracurriculars. (I think my extracurriculars were my biggest strength, objectively) I had good reason for transfer and was super active on campus! Lower gpa also due to serious illness which became part of my journey. Overall the transfer process seems holistic and things work out as they’re supposed to! Ending up at Vanderbilt  good luck to all

Hi, I’ve paid the deposit fee for lightview housing application. But they didn’t send me back the answer yet so I don’t know whether I have space available. Can I ask that after filling the online form, did the office contact with you? And did they send you the lease contract to sign?@sadiet12

Hello everyone,
I’m currently an incoming undergraduate student from a CUNY.
I am interested in applying for Northeastern University’s business school. The requirements displayed online read that I need Business Statistics, Microeconomics, and Language. However, I am not going to be taking any of those classes my first year as I plan on potentially attending NU during my sophomore year.

Since I’m unable to meet such requirements, will I still be considered as a potential candidate in the pool of Fall 2020 Transfers?
