I’m a transfer student from a 2 year college (I called in and they said they don’t take that ta a 2 year school into account). I’m in the process of applying to Northeastern’s School of Business. My current GPA is 3.5, and I’ve completed most of the reccomended transfer classes except Statistics. I’m in the process of completing Calculus but I might have to drop it. I am involved in two honor societies (Phi Theta Kappa and NSLS) and I’m the treasurer of the accounting club at my college. My high school record is bad though (my GPA was a 1.5). Never took SATS/ACTS. However I was going through unusual circumstances during high school and my letter of reccomendation is coming from a high school counselor explaining those circumstances. How much of a chance do I have of getting directly admitted into the business school? Should I just apply to the Arts and Sciences school and then internally transfer? How hard is it to internally transfer? And how badly would it affect my chances if I dropped the calculus?
I’ve accumulated 35 credits so far and at the end of this semester I will have somewhere from 46-50 credits.
