Northeastern, UofRochester, or UMass

My decision is down to these three, and I really don’t know. I applied for Mechanical Engineering at all three, but I don’t know what I will end up choosing to follow. I am also interested in mathematics, statistics, and economics.

Distance: NEU- 40 min, UMass Amherst- 1.5-2 hr, Rochester- 6-7 hrs

Cost: UMass will be around 18k, Rochester gave me 25k in grant/scholarship, and Northeastern gave me about 19k in grant/scholarship. (per year)

Benefits: Rochester will give me the best ‘education’ and is an excellent option if I chose to go to grad school (which I probably will), Northeastern has great career services and gives me an excellent opportunity to make connections in Boston, and UMass is the cheapest and a similarly solid option if I chose to go to grad school.

Campus/Social Scene: UMass would probably be the best social scene/ most fun, Northeastern would be interesting/fun in Boston, and Rochester would be worse than those too but still alright.

I am in the UMass Honors Commonwealth College, and the Northeastern Honors College.

Any help or other things I didn’t consider plz.

Did you visit all three? Of your choices, I can only comment on Rochester. While the city doesn’t have a whole lot going on, they have built a college town close to the university (bookstore, chipotle, Constantino’s market) and the student body seemed very cohesive and involved to me. It seems to have research focus.

@singermom4 I have visited all three. My brother goes to UMass, and I definitely got the vibe that UMass and Northeastern would both be better socially.
