Northeastern vs. Boston U. vs. Boston College

I'm a mexican-American senior at a competitive public high school in California and my parents are letting me apply to one of these three Boston schools.

I'm not too familiar with them other than their rankings on U.S. News, and IDK what my chances are for each with a 3.58 GPA Unweighted, 3.83 weighted, (sucks I know :/ ) and a 2100 SAT

Well, all three are very competitive, but you have a good chance - out of state, minority, good SAT - so they are worth applying to.

The college you choose can depend on a number of things - major, lifestyle, sports, etc. So it is impossible to make a recommendation without knowing more. Each school has its strengths and weaknesses. I also think you should make a trip to Boston and visit the colleges to see how you like the campuses. BU and Northeastern are more urban than BC.

I think your GPA is kinda iffy but your SAT score is great! I have recently visited all three schools over the summer (I’m applying to all three too!), and these are the 3 things I’d like to share.
BU has a great urban city campus. It’s buildings are kind of all down one street.
BC is in a nearby suburban town nearby Boston. It has a beautiful campus with old looking buildings. Like, a good sort of old. Like catholic church old kinda. I hope you can picture it. Haha. The campus is really beautiful though.
Northeastern is a nice enclosed campus within Boston.
Now, personally, I thought I would like BC a lot better because I preferred an actual campus, but my mind completely changed once I stepped into Northeastern. Honestly, I fell in love as soon as I walked in. If you like a campus but still want the city right outside your doorstep, I suggest Northeastern.

Out of the 3 schools, I would say that order of difficulty of getting in from least to greatest would be:
BU, Northeastern, and BC.

BC is an amazing school. It’s my reach school, so you can try. Maybe you’ll get in! Who knows? I think you have a shot at both BU and Northeastern. :)
