Northeastern vs Boston University Physical Therapy program

So I’ve been accepted to both Northeastern University and Boston University for their 6 year DPT programs, and I’m having trouble choosing one or the other.

These are the main points that I am considering:

Boston University
-Only have to pay 5k/year
-slightly more well known(?)

Northeastern University
-Has a strength and conditioning focus that I am very interested in
-Better co-op program (?)
-total of 10k/year (but half is covered by school loans)

If anyone has any knowledge to weigh in that would be very helpful.

Thanks so much.

Congratulations on your acceptances- having 2 direct entry choices is a good dilemma! From what I can tell, both programs will prepare you well, and once you have your DPT in hand, where you got your undergrad will not matter all that much. There might be some differences in methods but all programs will prepare you to pass the boards. In terms of the cost, are those numbers you listed for all 6 years? Or do you end up paying more once you get into the grad school portion of the program? That would be something to be sure of before you commit. And if any of the cost is covered by merit scholarships, what is the GPA required to keep those at each?

Is it possible to visit both? While only a 20 min walk from each other, you may feel it’s a better fit once you visit at one over the other.

You’ve got two great choices as said, so I don’t think there’s a bad decision here. Congrats!
