Hey guys. So my dream college/university is Northeastern in MA. I'm only a sophomore but I'm planning on studying my butt off my junior year (I think my weighted gpa was like 3.1). I slacked off quite a bit this year, which I regret a lot. I got my SAT II scores back and... 590 in chem and 630 in bio. Let's say that junior year I get like a 3.8 average gpa and I get like around 2100 for the SAT's. My EC's next year are gonna be
-Robotics Club
-NHS for Math (hopefully)
-Key Club
-Community service over the summer

That's all I can list for now. If not Northeastern, can you suggest other schools for me? I'm looking to go somewhere in the medical field. Also, I'm planning on taking AP physics and AP psychology.
Another thing, should I retake my SAT II's? Thanks.

Dude i live right near NE and have family that went there, they didt get amazing grades but did TONS of extra curricular activities and communitee service, sports clubs etc. They just were well rounded individuals were they lacked academics, just hit the ground running when you get back to school in september. Im a sophmore too!

Weighted GPA 3.1 is going to hurt you alot. I would say raise that as high as possible.
SAT 2100 is good, higher than average by quite a bit if I am correct.
EC’s are ok, try to specialize in a certain hobby, e.g. a martial art, high ranking officer in JROTC, music.
Definitely retake those SAT II’s, Bio and Chem are definitely important, especially with you career path.
You still have 1 year + 1 summer + 1 semester, raise those grades as high as possible, get an internship, and retake those SAT II’s.

You should also talk about your race and income bracket as that may have an effect. Any hardships…etc. You have no EC’s up to this point correct?

thanks for responding. I’m korean, born here but parents born in South korea. My income is like <75000 (around there). As of right now, my EC’s are this bible study camp at my church (I’m a crew leader), and volunteering at a health care center.

I’m in the same situation as you right now also living in mass just try hard as possible take as many honors classes as possible and if you can’t do them go to extra help everyday to raise that gpa plus teachers like when you go for extra help

If you applied directly into the Bouve college then the admissions might be different than for say, Arts and Sciences. Look into the difficulty of admission into some of your prospective majors.
