San Ramon/Monte Vista High School (Danville) :)

okay, so who says Hella....

The Monterey in Mexico is actually MONTERREY. The one in NorCal is Monterey (with 1 r).

i say 'hella'

and saying SoCal is Laguna Beach/the O.C. is like saying all people in San Francisco are gay lol. there's a good, fat chunk (considering Gay Pride Parade is this weekend), but that's not what its all about.

Some people don't want to be in a city with a huge gay population.

Some people don't want to be in a city with 500 $5,000,000 + houses.

:)

I actually wouldnt mind living either near LA or San Fran. Both have good newspapers and i want to be a journalist.

No, I haven't been to California.

I like SoCal. You don't. So what?

I'm saying if I lived in California, I would live in SoCal. Probably LA or San Diego. NorCal doesn't have any cities with a population of at least 1,000,000. San Francisco only has what... 700,000?

How can you prefer socal over norcal if you've never even been to California?

Because.

Just like I've never been to the Middle East or Australia, but I would rather live in Australia. No question about it.

It's my opinion, not your's. :)

BTW - Please you quotes. [ quote ] texthere / quote

Comparing the middle east and australia to norcal and socal is a terrible comparison. I don't see how you can prefer one part of a state to the other when you don't know anything about the state in question.

I know about California.

NorCal has cooler weather than SoCal. I like warm weather more than cool weather, therefore I think SoCal is better.

Gosh, I like southern California better than northern California. So what? Why do you care so much?

SoCal sucks. Moving on...I'm reppin' the South over here :)

California isn't my first choice on where I want to live.

It's probably like... number 8 on my list. lol.

oh yeah for sure. but like, Carmel (the word that comes to mind is Classy) is sooo gorgeous and the weather's great. some places in california ARE definitely better than others. imho.

but yeah, i'd rather live in chicago than LA, just as an example. and cambridge is lovely.
