Northwest Graphic design schools

I also posted this in the art majors section but I'm not sure if that was the right forum. Anyways...

I'm a high school senior currently living in Idaho and I'm highly interested in majoring in graphic design. It's really been my dream job for as long as I can remember. There a a few problems with this though, first is that my parents aren't very supportive of me going to college. Which sadly brings me to my second problem... they won't help pay for tuition. I'm on my own there. I probably wouldn't even be able to consider a college that's more than 20,000 yearly tuition. And third, I'd really like to stay fairly close to home. I'd prefer to stay in the northwest region preferably in Washington, Idaho, maybe Montana, and possibly Oregon but I'll take a look at any suggestions, even out of that range. Also I love the Seattle area, living and working there is my ultimate goal

My GPA is alright, I've maintained a 3.25 all the way through high school and in my last year I'm really going to be pushing to get it up to 3.5. After all, I'm going to need all the scholarships I can get. I've taken honors classes all the way through high school but I'm not sure if I'll graduate with an honors diploma or not.

The school I've been most interested in is the Northwest College of Arts. Not Pacific Northwest. Just northwest.

So Any recommendations or advice anyone can give me on this would be great, thanks to anyone that read this or gave it some thought.

I am from Illinois so I don’t know about many colleges out there but I know Nothern Michigan University has a tuition including room and board of $18,000 and that is out of state. I’m not sure about their graphic design program though, but you could look into it if it interests you. Sorry it isn’t much help! Good luck!
