**Northwestern 2014 Transfer Applicant Thread**

So we have to wait another month for decisions – sigh! :frowning:
Anyway, thanks for your input @cjburton23‌

Any idea on when we will receive the decisions?

My friend got rejected. Most people hear sometime during May. The more extreme of an applicant you are (really good or really bad), the sooner you will hear back.

@collegebound666 which school did your friend apply?

Hi, I am going to transfer out of my college really soon and I need some clarification. What does it mean quarter of entrance application deadline oct 1. Since I missed the Fall deadline does it mean I can apply for NU for the winter semester?

@ChristinaLiang‌ yes, most NU schools let you transfer in halfway through the year, others (i think just medill) don’t allow winter transfers

Just a friendly bump to keep this thread alive. I’ve applied to transfer into their engineering program.

Just called Admissions. They say notification is on a rolling basis, and you’ll be hearing back “between now and late June.” Good luck to all!

Good Luck to all!

Hope is a good thing, and good things don’t die.

late june is pretty rough, hopefully that’s only for special cases

Just joining thread now, I applied for Political Science + International Affairs and still haven’t heard back. Hoping to hear soon, this wait is death.

Here’s last year’s thread for reference: <a href=“**Northwestern 2013 Transfer Thread** - #226 by yolocholo - Northwestern University - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/northwestern-university/1432534-northwestern-2013-transfer-thread-p16.html</a>

@gators1995, I have a friend that heard back last year at the end of June. He’s going there now, but when they say “rolling” they really mean rolling. Unfortunately.

Guess I’ll go first : Rejected.

Not unexpected, but damn that email came out of nowhere. Also, they put STATUS UPDATE as the subject. I think that’s BS. They should have at least put DECISION so I could have braced myself. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Im sorry, that sucks:( may I ask when did you receive your e-mail?

Rejected as well. As @PaintTheSilence‌ pointed out, “status update” subject for an email with an admission decision really left me in an unpleasant surprise. :(

@banker92 Im sorry. When did you get the e-mail?

@PaintTheSilence‌ @banker92 which schools did you apply to?
