how can i not. Fordham has a 50% acceptance rate and UofMiami has half that. I poured my whole heart into these application sending so may letters and emails to show how much i love these schools. I prayed ever single day for 1 acceptance only. My whole dream is contingent upon me coming to the US so i can start my business. I highly doubt it’s possible now. I don’t even know if the UofMiami will give me adequate aid let alone even accept me.
Which country did you apply from? Did you not apply to any safeties?
Tbh the process has been very random this year. I was waitlisted by Purdue. Although my stats are at par with the Ivy League applications.
im from Pakistan. You see the problem was we were burdened with too many assignments and tests during the whole year especially during the college application months. I had to shuffle b/w so many things that i lost track of some. The counsellors at my school are dirt ■■■■. They don’t know anything or help anyone. I thought i should apply to top 100 unis so they could give me FA but i wasn’t aware that other unis might give me FA too. I simply cannot afford 80K a year. FA was a big factor for me.

i’ve worked my ass of for these 2 years to make sure i have a relatively good chance at fulfilling my dream. however, as every college decision become available i lose hope. Now i have none.
Same… I really did my best and all I get is rejection after rejection

i’m from pa too!! its tough for us because of everything that has happened in the last year and a half. i’m doing a levels with all sciences so i can understand the work load. everything happens for a reason and us being intls asking for FA makes the process a bit more difficult but just try to remember if this path is not opening no matter how much effort you put in it, theres another easier one waiting for u!!! good luck!!

Just out of curiosity, did your interviewer ask you to send them a mail after the interview describing in detail all your ECs, awards, and asking for your resume?? Mine did, and I found it slightly weird as it did not happen in any other interview of mine or my friends for that matter.
no they certainly did not. but she was taking notes while I spoke. I found that weird. She was scribbling away everything I said.
from where did you get interviews? I got one from Northwestern and one from UPenn. that’s it.
I wouldn’t read too much into that. All of my other interviewers took pretty detailed notes.

i didn’t even get an interview
