NU Interview is optional. My brother didnât request one. The reason I did was my GPA and ACT are below average so I want NU to see me via interview.
If theyâre not much of a factor, then why are they offered? Does the interviewer provide feedback back to NU?
Most schools the âinterviewsâ donât mean anything. Theyâre really only for the students for informational purposes and in some cases if the student is not a great candidate then it can hurt them, but rarely does an interview help someone at these schools which is why almost all of them say not having an interview canât hurt you.
I got an interview offer about a week after submitting my application, but I declined. Kinda regretting it now.
Yes, the interviewer needs to feedback to school. Otherwise the whole interview doesnât make sense.

What I have heard is, as long as you do not act crazy during interview, the interviewers always report good feedback for you.
Maybe that is why most of the time the interview doesnât matter since the school expects this kind of feedback unless the interviewer gives details about how good or crazy this applicant is.
Random question: does anyone know if Northwestern sends likely letters? I hope all of you get in!

I donât believe they do. We live about 20 mins away and our school generally sends a decent number there and I have never heard of any student receiving a likely letter. But of course as we know, this year anything goes!

When did Northwestern RD decisions come out in past years?

We got it too. Theyâve been redoing their residence halls for a few years now, so itâs interesting that they are having these virtual tours. Must be ready to show off some of the ânewlyâ redone rooms. If I recall correctly, I think you also have to live on campus for 2 years so itâs probably helpful to see where you might be living.
