***NORTHWESTERN APPLICANTS IN 2014***

I just want to know how impressive, no offense to others, college resumes look like so if you are applying to Northwestern University in 2014, as a high school senior, to be possibly admitted in 2015, can u plz post your resumes. At the very least your basics. This thread isn't meant to depress or make fun of anyone, but made out of curiosity. Also, advice given to others is appreciated. Plz post the following, or as much as u can. Thank you!

GPA: with or w/o weight, just clarify which one
Class Rank:

ACT composite:
SAT composite:
SAT II tests ( if taken):

AP exams: score from 1 to 5

Ethnicity:
Extracurriculars: (place leadership in parenthesis)
Community Service:

ONLY REPLY IF U R A HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR/ RISING SENIOR RIGHT NOW. IF UR A NORTHWESTERN STUDENT OR GRADUATE, FEEL FREE TO GIVE ADVICE AND THANK YOU TO ALL! ;)

Ok so don’t laugh… I know I don’t seem like a very strong candidate but I’m hoping my dedication to one area will be somewhat good?

GPA: my school’s weird with this. They give a 4.3 if you get an a+ and it goes up to a 5.3 for AP. I have a 4.17 with my school’s system and what I imagine to be a 3.9 normally unweighted.
Class rank: 10 out of 230

ACT: 34 C
SAT/SAT II: haven’t taken yet

AP: I haven’t taken any ap classes yet (I know this doesn’t look good) but next year I’m taking English, gov, and stats

Ethnicity: white
Extracurriculars:
Chamber orchestra
School musicals/plays every year
Community youth theatre shows and classes
School’s top choir (idk if this would count because I technically get a credit even though it meets an hour before school starts and we have ~25 outside of school gigs per year)
Thespian society (hopefully president next year)
School Mascot (I was the 1st person)
School group where you talk to classes of middle schoolers about peer pressure, bullies, etc
School group where you assist disabled children in the classroom as well as spend time with them outside of school
Young Life (bi-weekly, non-denominational Christian group)
Weekly Bible Study
As well as school orchestra for 9 years and choir for all of high school
National Honor Society (hopefully leadership next year)

Community Service:
-One of the young life groups is an outreach group in which I help out with once a week
-I’m spending a month volunteering at a young life summer camp for a month this summer. I’m going to be working (and like not summer camp counselor-y work, like serving food, dishwashing, cleaning the bathrooms, doing all of the dirty work for the camp) for 12+ hours a day.
-Volunteer math tutor for neighbor

I’m planning on having good essays, and my teacher recs should be decent haha. I know Northwestern is a high reach for me but what do I have to lose? Haha
