Northwestern BME vs JHU BME (accepted!!!)

I just found out that I was accepted to the BME program at JHU!!! I found out yesterday that I was also admitted to Northwestern University for BME. Now I don't know what to do: I love Northwestern's location and proximity to Chicago but I've heard that it is an incredible accomplishment to get into BME at JHU. What should I do? This is a really tough decision.

jhu, jhu, jhu.

what about fin aid?

I am in the same situation but for ME. Is NU or JHU considerably better in that major?

i did not apply for financial aid so that does not factor into my decision…

Congrats dude, ppl who I know that got into BME at Hopkins also turned down Stanford and MIT caliber type schools. I really do not want to inflate your ego or anything, but it’s quite an accomplishment for sure. It’s the #1 program in America. :D

Ebhbmom: There is no considerable difference between NU or JHU in terms of mechanical engineering. Both undergraduate engineering schools are tied for 14th. so both are pretty good.

Depends what you like.

Johns Hopkins students are passionate about intellectual exploration; they are eager for life in a community of similarly passionate, equally ambitious scholars and teachers. Johns Hopkins study and work in a congenial environment to enhance my engineering knowledge and skill through continuous learning within a team having a goal lean towards improvement in manufacturing and production by implementing innovative ideas to achieve organization objectives in a best way. This community is based at Homewood, a serene, tree-lined 140 acre campus next to the eclectic north Baltimore neighborhood of Charles Village. Here, students partner with their mentors to push the boundaries of knowledge.

Johns Hopkins exposes these independent thinkers to new tools of analysis and new perspectives on the arts, humanities, social and natural sciences and engineering. At the same time, they engage with fellow students outside the classroom in intellectual, cultural, service and recreational pursuits that greatly enrich their education. When our students graduate, they join a global alumni body of men and women who use knowledge and experience acquired at Johns Hopkins to change the world.

There is no comparison, Johns Hopkins is the best hands down

stealing this thread.

full tuition at Vandy School of Engineering(BME major), BME at JHopkins, or Caltech(chemE or new BME major?)

one month to decide…

help?

^good luck. if you want medical school, i would take money and vandy.

i am similar. Full ride at GaTech (BME rank #3), possibel Roberston full ride at Duke (BME #2), full tuition at Rice (BME #10), jhu (bme #1) Stnford, MIT … i am going crazy!

can anyone shelp me in this crazy situation, likely to get crazier come tuesday with HYP!!
aargh, i hate choices!

I would take a full fide at Vandy, Duke or Rice over JHU, Stanford or MIT. Thats a lot of money!
