Northwestern Chances ED?

<p>Hey everyone! I am planning on applying to Northwestern ED (at Weinberg CAS) this year and I was wondering what my chances are. I go to a rigorous private high school in FL. </p>

<p>I was a slacker in my freshman and sophomore years (at least for my standards) and did not really focus in school.</p>

Spanish III: B
Honors English 9: A
Honors Biology: A-
Honors Algebra II: B+
Forensics I/II: A

<p>Hopefully NU sees my increase in effort from sophomore to junior year because I really regret not studying at all.</p>

-Health Club (Secretary 10, President 11 and 12)
-Quiz Bowl (10-12) - We won the state competition
-Science Olympiad (10-12)
-about 500 hours of volunteer hours - mostly at a hospital
-Interned at a local banking firm for 1 month over summer (eye-opening experience)
-Qualified for the AIME Math Competition</p>

<p>I know my ECs are ok but not great - so what are my chances?

<p>You would also have a great chance in the RD round, so make sure you’re ready to tie yourself to Northwestern before you ED.</p>

<p>OP, I was wondering what it was about NU that makes you want to apply ED ? I see you are from florida. you like cold winters and lake effect snow?</p>

<p>looks like a good shot to me… kind of remind me of myself (but adjusted for ‘inflation’ if you will). I didn’t do as hot my sophomore year and made up for it. It worked 5 years ago for me… good luck!</p>
