So I'm afraid my ACT is too low for northwestern, but as a rough estimate what are my chances?

GPA: 4.0 unweighted
ACT: 27
extra-curricular: track, FIRST robotics, school musical, student government, NHS, key club

dont have the list of all of my classes, but i have taken all rigorous curriculum with several university partnership courses.

Without posting info about your sat’s or your number of AP classes/ IB classes it is difficult to say, but based on your ACT score, you would need to be in some INCREDIBLE EC’s and to get in…

^Agreed; with that ACT, you’ll have to give them a fantastic reason for them to accept you.

I would encourage you to apply.

But you should also be realistic. NU, as one of the top 12 schools in this country, gets 30,000+ applications each year. As is the case with all top 12 schools, they turn away their share of perfect SATs, 4.0 gpa’s, and validictorian applicants…

The freshman class at Northwestern University has higher mid-point SAT scores than those at Brown, Dartmouth, Penn, Duke and Stanford.

…so you do need to offer something that sets you apart - especially with a 27 ACT (which is not in the typical range). I am not seeing anything in particular in your EC’s to set you appart but maybe you can flush this out better with your essay responses (which will also be very important)
