Northwestern Chances

<p>Hi! I just wanted to know what anyone from Northwestern/ Applied to Northwestern thinks about my chances for getting into the school/ whether I should apply </p>

<p>Grades: GPA on a 100 scale is weighted, about a 101.5. Upward trend..in 10th grade was 100.94
SAT: 2310 (750 CR/760 Math/800 Writing)
SAT IIs: 740 Biology E, 750 Chemistry
AP classes: 9th grade, AP World History
10th grade: AP World History II (5), AP Psychology (5)
11th grade: AP Physics B (5), AP Language and Composition (4), AP US History (5)
12th grade: AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, AP Stats, AP Literature, AP US Gov </p>

<p>EC:
4 year Varsity Gymnast. Captain in senior year. All-County qualifier every year since 9th grade, All-State qualifier in 11th.
Member of Key Club for 2 years
Member of Newspaper Club for two years: Arts & Entertainment Editor for the school Newspaper
Member of FBLA for one year
Competitive club gymnast for 10 years</p>

<p>Assuming you are in the top 1 to 3% of your class and applying ED, you have a great shot (of course, you must show a very keen interest in NU by your essays and your recco. letters should be superior). Good Luck!</p>

<p>Your academic stats are better than mine across the board. ECs are comparable. I got in. So it’s very definitely possible.</p>

<p><em>insert obligatory remark about applying ED</em> But it is something to consider–any college that offers an early decision application is more likely to accept the same candidate ED than they are RD.</p>

<p>Like NUDad said, interest is important. And if you’re interested, then you should definitely apply. Something about missing all the shots you don’t take, or something. Take the cliche of your choice.</p>

<p>You should definately apply. If NU is your number 1 choice, consider ED.</p>
