and in regard to my post on "fusing" schools....where is the humor on NW board?!

Applying? You're not even a Chicago student????? Get out of here you creep.

kk:

why made NW your first priority.

what is up with your previous comment?! I shall take it as a humorous joke.

heyy chicagonobel theres more to college than academics
cmon
u've got to take many factors into consideration
includddinnnnggggg
location
uchicago im sure u won't argue this
is located in a pretty shady area i mean the buildings are beautiful, gothic and reminscent of greater times in teh past but currently
the area is just a p.o.s.
i mean when i went to visit with the representative from the college she was quite adamant on discussing safety precautions when visiting uchicago
also hte brochure i received from the college on the last page..?
yes a list of things to do and not to do if you want to basically stay alive/notgetmugged/raped

i also can not even begin to fathom the fact that this thread has reached 2 pages

ya, we need put an end to this discussion.

As I noted, th ere are +'s and ='s, NW has few (ok, a lot) of +'s, just like Chicago. I also visited NW, but the day was rainy and ****ing cold. The next day, I visited Chicago, and it was just perfect. Of all the unpredictabilities, Chicago's weather certainly tops the list.

chicagonobel

"longest continuously running student film society" means nothing more than "longest student-run". It doesn't translate into "best film dept". Chicago is never known for its film program while NU is.

Regarding the "humor", honestly the topic itself is kinda negative for NU and not shared by many on this board to begin with. People like kk, tiger, and myself have initially responded with humors to diffuse the negativity. That's when you should have stopped. But instead, you continued to make sure everyone on this NU BOARD to get "chicago is better", lecturing us on the philosophy of Chicago's education (explaining how it's unique and more superior..lol) and informing us chicago is always in the top 10 according to some ranking.

From my experience, people with superiority complex tend to think they are "funny" and "witty"; just want you to realize that superiority and inferiority complex are two sides on the same coin.

This was why I stated first off that I don't like schools being negatively compared to each other. Too many feelings start surfacing. Trust me, I've been exposed to it too much (especially now since I'm appplying to colleges and have my preferences), and I hate it all together. I hate it when people degrade things that I feel strongly about in the first place, and I'm sure that everyone on this board can agree with me. So, why don't we all just drop the subject, not take it personally, and get on with the rst of this forum.
