Northwestern Class of 2009

Hey! Congrats again to everyone who's heard and best wishes to all who are waiting. I thought it might be nice to start to get to know each other, since we could possibly be spending the next four years together. Speaking of which, has anyone heard any specifics about a preview day for admitted students? Anyway, here goes...

My name's Avital and I'm from Portland, OR. I was accepted to the School of Communications and plan on double majoring in theater and English.

thanks. I got into the McCormack something. :)

So you want to study engineering, then?

I got into CAS, but ( if I attend) I plan on transferring before I get there into Communications, and double majoring in Film/Tv and Psychology.

I got into Weinberg, and I think there's a preview day link on their website. It's in mid-April, and there's 3 different previews you can sign up for.

Hi, my name is Mo bi, from Singapore. My frenz call me Mobz. =)Accepted to McCormick and planning to major in biomedical sciences/engineering or Microbiology. Taking Pre-medicine and waiting for ISP. My pleasure and honor to meet you all and sincerely hope we can help and support one another out for our academic career at NU. Best regards,
Bi

Are any of you definitely attending NU in the fall?

Hey Polonius, what are your stats? I see you got into both NW and WUSTL. Congrats!

Hi, I am from Turkey. Accepted to double degree program BA/BM (psychology and piano perfromance) I am thinking of doing Film/TV minor or switching to that instead of psychology. Hope to c ya there if I go!

Film/TV, Music, and Psyche? Wow. Impressive. I know that the conservatory takes a lot of your time, so that's really great.

lol, i want to do Film/Tv, Psych, and Japanese language ( No experience whatsoever, jsut itnerested)

avital!

i see you didn't go thru like every link in ur status/decision like i did lol
there's a link that says preview NU and then register.. the dates are there. =) for preview nu.

haha i was gonna try to hold off and get exactly 1000 posts on the 31st, when the rest of my decisions come back but whatever. i'm excited. however, i can't decide where i would go as of now... hmmm X(

ah, also
i want to do business eventually. so maybe i'll major in economics. i hear it's kinda tough at first @ NU to weed people out. yay!

i got into mccormick!:) i'm a female from korea, but i attend school here in the states. i'm sorta undecided within engineering. :P

Congratulations!!! :D

Did you just find out right now?

I got in for film in school of communcations. For anyone interesting in transferring, I've heard it its especially hard to transfer from the bigger school (weinberg or something) into communications...there's only going to be 200 of us and like 1200 of you guys.

Safia, it depends on what major you want to transfer from/into. For example, for this year's class of '08, way too many theater acceptees decided to matriculate, so now that class of theater kids is way too big. So obviously it's really hard to transfer into theater, but if someone wants to transfer out, the school will make it really easy for them to get into almost anything else. I'm pretty sure that sort of thing happens in different programs every year.

Ewwww koyaanisqatsi?? ;) I had to watch that in class, and regretfully, I slept through most of it. I also saw the sequel, too.

koyaanisqatsi-lol, I was at a quirky restaurant two nights ago, and it was playing without sound on a projection screen right in front of my table, so it spurred a lot of interesting conversation actually.... At first, without the sound, we thought it was just scenery, until I saw pollution and realized something must be up.

hey! i was accepted ED and so i have been waiting the extra few months to find out who else would be accepted, i am from the chicago area so if you guys want a tour or to do anything just private message me and we'll talk

congrats to all and i look forward to seeing you all there

hey, I am LiBr... uhm......... my real name??? hahahha.... that's a mystery. well, i major in Chem Engineering
