How do you know the results are coming out on Friday ?
Do you know what exactly they said? Or if there’s any chance it could be before then? The admissions office has been very intense on not telling people the exact date so I’m curious
I don’t know what’s the exact words since I wasn’t the one making the phone call. My counselor’s words were “Based on what he [AKA the officer] said, I think they are likely to release decisions on Friday.”
Yeah I am pretty sure it’s the 14th, given that that’s what the officer said on the phone with my counselor. Also this is what happened in previous years.
Hi all I was an applicant last year, but I got deferred then rejected. Last year the decision was released on the 14th, afternoon around 5pm CST if I remember correctly. Anyways, I just wanna say that I totally understand how all of you are feeling right now, and I hope the best of luck for everyone of you!!! Big congrats if you get accepted, but if you get rejected, remember college decision doesn’t determine everything, and if you even thought you have a chance to Northwestern, you are probably one of the smartest kids in the world. All of you will go to your best fit college, and no matter if it is NU, you will fell in love with that college. Hope all of you get the decision you want!!!
Thank you so much! @Ineedoffers
@Ineedoffers Thanks
@noto3910 Someone in another thread said that their counselor asked them. Also, it has been the 14th in the past years so I’m guessing it’s the same this year.
Im freaking out
Hey guys, do we always have to conduct interviews if applying ED to Northwestern?
Do we need to call the admission office asking for an interview time? Or will the admission office just email everyone asking us to register for an interview? Please help answer me if you know. I am very nervous.
You do not have to have an interview when applying ED to Northwestern. You are only offered an interview if they have an available alumni rep in your region.
You do not need to call the admission office to request an interview. The admission office will email you with a link to register for an interview.
All ED interviews are completed so if you haven’t done one yet, you won’t.
However, not interviewing does not put you at a disadvantage
Can someone chance me?
i’ll be 16 entering freshman year. I am hispanic.
SAT: 1540
GPA: 4.61/5
Letters of Rec: pretty solid, my counselor doesn’t know me too well
Essays: 9/10
Extracurriculars: captain of my soccer team for 4 years, vice president of my DECA chapter, Vice President of my HOSA chapter, president of my FBLA Chapter. I did research with a professor at Penn State on the educational goals of Cambodian students. I have 300 community service hours at my hospital (I am a candystriper). I coded a couple websites. What are the chances I get in?
Yeah, I know some people who didn’t do the interview and got in! So don’t worry. Applying ED shows enough interest.
Hi guys… I applied for comp sci at Mccormick and every time I look at my stats and application I feel I even don’t stand a chance at NU. Does anyone think they may compromise on my average scores because am an international applicant from Africa, Kenya… and also first generation.
Will Northwestern send out an email in advance letting applicants know a future date and time when the decisions will be posted in the portal, or will it be an email that simply says they are available now?
@lkbux64, I don’t think they send an email in advance–just when the decision is available. But they just posted a message on their NU Admissions Instagram story saying that the decisions will be out by “the end of the week.”
can’t they just tell us already?!
Thank you for your message Zipperatom
