I'm finished with my supplement, essay, and Common app EXCEPT for one part. There's a question under the "future plans" part that asks

"Do you intend to be a degree seeking student during your first year?"

I was a bit confused by what they were asking. Does this mean if i click "yes", I have to declare my major in freshman year or does it mean I have to earn my degree within freshman year? Clarification will be greatly appreciated =)

I was confused also, but I clicked “no” because I don’t want to declare a major freshman year. If you got into NU and all of a sudden decided you wanted to declare it, then I’m sure you can. And if you clicked “yes” I’m sure that’s not a problem either because you can always change your major. :)

I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to say yes. I think only people who are taking ‘enrichment’ classes are supposed to say no - if you’re not going to be working to get credits towards graduation in your first year.

then i guess i’m totally wrong…
