last thing, decision will be sent by emails.

So now the question is, does this apply to domestic applicants as well

Last year, the decisions came out the Friday before April 1st, which was 3/30.

I'm hoping that you're right about decisions coming out tomorrow.

Here's an article about admissions last year and Northwestern's admission rate:
http://www.dailynorthwestern.com/home/index.cfm?event=displayArticle&ustory_id=27e66d9b-bb47-40f2-a13b-8ca4e9060b11

I don't think this is true, because I can't see the admission people working through Easter, maybe I'm wrong, but I just can't see it.

you've got to remember that Northwestern almost MUST put their decisions out earlier than HYPS to maximize yield. easter might be expendable.

^ I agree. There really aren't many schools, if you think about it, that dare to post after HYPS. MIT, Cal Tech, UChicago, Duke (Actually tomorrow), and WashU( just to name a few) have already posted, and they are some of HYPS's most serious competitors.

the guy who already got accepted to the music program was applying to the grad school....so the decisions are probably on a different timeline, i dont think it affects when they are sending out undergrad decisions... I expect them the end of this week.

dude... are the decisions really coming out today.

^^^^^^

um...it's 11 CST, how abt tomorrow, maybe?

i have a really bad feeling that tomorrow's email will be for international students or minorities to increase minority yield. i'm not feeling good about it without a warning from NU. Although, U Chicago did the same thing (without a warning)

crosses fingers

UChicago loves to be weird as hell though.

Oye! I'm too nervous to sleep!!!!

true, zdub. i just don't think many colleges are putting a lot of thought into how they "look" regarding their decisions. most likely just trying to get them out as quickly as possible.

sheeit. is it today?!?!?!

so nervous! duke is out this afternoon!

Wash U did it without a warning too...
For some reason I'm under the impression that Northwestern will e-mail us before they post decisions online, but I don't really know where I got that from...

An update: I just called (I felt terribly obnoxious doing it, but oh well!) and I got a very curt reply of "Decisions will be out by the end of the month." A lot of help that was..

i feel sort of unsure about it being today. i hope i'm wrong. but it will be by friday or saturday, so it's not like when we thought it was going to be the 20th. it's just the difference of three days. so don't worry.

Hi, all. My mom (I figured they'd take a call from a parent more seriously than from a student) just spoke with the financial aid office and the woman there said that both admittance decisions and financial aid packages will be "going out" on Thursday, March 27 at the same time. Sounds like a pretty promising answer. Good luck all!

Most likely they'll be up slightly before they notify you. Happy compulsive checking! And remember the time difference if you're not in the midwest. :D

I think all of the information coming out on Thursday sounds realistic. It would definetly be nice to hear today though.

sigh, this sort of sucks if it's actually thursday. I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow morning -- and will have limited internet access.
