Northwestern Economics

vs.

University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign

major in: Marketing and International Business with minor in Spanish

Personally, I like business alot better...

which one would be better for landing me in my dream school: Stanford Graduate Biz SchooL?

THanks

Northwestern.

UIUC, no doubt

I agree with Northwestern. Just do the Certificate Program for business.

If you are up for the challenge, I’d go with Northwestern.

The range of business-related courses at Northwestern is so astonishing that you can literally get the full-blown business curriculum in addition to your econ major at Northwesten. Take a look at the following:

[Medill - IMC Undergraduate Certificate/url
[url=<a href=“Harvey Kapnick Center for Business Institutions - Northwestern University”>Harvey Kapnick Center for Business Institutions - Northwestern University]Harvey Kapnick Business Institutions Program – Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Northwestern University/url

There are also management sciences department and undergrad certificates from Kellogg but they are highly quantitative:
http://www.iems.northwestern.edu/](http://www.medill.northwestern.edu/imc/undergraduatecertificate.aspx)
<a href=“Certificate Program for Undergraduates”>http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/certificate/index.htm</a></p>

Well it only makes sense to go with UIUC because he prefers business over economics.
But, like the above two posts suggest, if you want to stick to economics and do something business related as well, go with Northwestern.

I spent my summer in a business program (LEAD) at UIUC and I loved it, i felt comfortable and felt at home… i also know the deans of the business school

plus, freshman year i would go on two trips abroad for free

Take the time to have a hard look at jobs and salaries of recent grads at both.
