Hi, I’m a rising senior at Shawnee Mission North High School in Kansas and I would LOVE to go to Northwestern for environmental engineering. It’s my top choice and I’m applying ED; I just want to make sure I’m on the right track.

I’m also participating in Northwestern’s College Preparatory Program this summer in the In Focus: Sustainability and the Economy, Society, and Environment seminar, and can’t wait for it!

I think you have a great shot! My only advice would be to maybe increase that ACT score because Northwestern’s minimum is generally a 32 so a higher score would put you past the border. Have fun at the summer program and try to get some good contacts!

You’re in Northwestern ED.

I was actually thinking about taking it again in October; we’ll see. Thanks for the advice!

Hey, quick question. Is it worth it to take SAT subject tests in October? I’m thinking about it but I don’t know if I want to stress myself out about it while trying to focus on college apps as well. Please let me know what you think!
