Northwestern Fall 2010 Transfer Thread

hey are u guys junior or sophomore transfers and when did u send in ur second semester grades

I will enter as a sophomore and my second semester grades was received on May 19-21, I don’t remember clearly…

…nope. no housing email whatsoever…oh well…I guess i’ll have to wait for another week…

ya i didnt get a housing email either but i have no idea what that means.

I got no housing email yet…

a serious question, do we NEED to send them the second semester grades? Will i still get a fair decision if I don’t send the grade? I checked on NU’s admission web page and it doesn’t mention the second semester grade. And actually most colleges make their decision without the second semester grades. Thanks!

Albus tongxue: really a surprise to see u here haha~

Yes, do send them the spring grades when it’s available.

And I think there is definitely no need to worry about the housing email since it is only June 11! Decisions will keep coming out on a rolling base till late June. I would say the next batch of decision would be during June 20, as last year’s posts showed.

GOOD LUCK TO US ALL~!

^^ especially if your spring grades are good. it would only help your chances.

Did any engineering transfers get the housing email?

lol, thanks.
is the spring grade required? my spring grade is much worse than my first semester’s grade… =_=…

If it’s not required, i prefer not to send it to them…

I just called to ask about spring grade and the lady said “if you can get it, we’d rather have it…” which i think means that it’s not really required? lol

I just called and told them about the housing email I received, and thank god they transfered me to the transfer student director! They told me: yes! I was admitted! But the thing is that I was admitted at the end of last week, or I shouldn’t have receiced the housing email this quickly!!

Why do I still not receive my package??? Just can’t trust Fedex anymore( FedEx cause I am an intl student)

Seasonofluv23: So you haven’t received your package either, right?

dingdingmh// congrats!

may i ask your standardized test score, your high school/college gpa., ec ???

yssul1027: I will post it in the official transfer result thread~GOOD LUCK!

For those of you who got the housing email, you are probably in.
I got the email this morning, and in the evening my mother called, telling me I was admitted. The package was mailed to my home.
So, congratulations~

Congrats dingding & season!!!

BTW. I have emailed the office twice the transcript including some of the courses I have just finished in early May, because they didn’t reply the first time. And I have sent them some additional materials twice in late May, but they haven’t replied yet. What does that mean? Do I have to make it clear now that the transcript they got is not a final one but one that includes some new courses I took after submitting the application? Thanks.

REEEEEEEEEEALLY WANNA GO TO NORTHWESTERN!!!

My son just texted me that he got the housing email this morning. Engineering transfer.
