I will be attending as a rising sophomore

What were your stats boss?

he posted his stats a few replies back.

thaboss, what was your HS gpa? and are you from the chicagoland area?

I’m quite surprised that NU accepted a rising sophomore applicant without evaluating a final transcript. Hope they’ll do same thing to those of us who are in schools running quarter system

I’m feeling like I’m going to be waitlisted.

does NU send out decisions via letters or emails?

^Letters only. No indication of releasing decisions online…
But this is also the first time I have heard of the differences of delivery methods of decisions…

@jayfromla: Does NU waitlist some transfer applicants? I thought that once they evaluate your application, they decide yes or no…

I’m not sure. I know most other schools waitlist applicants, and given how many people will probably be left unable to attend due to NU’s late decision releases, I would imagine that they would have some sort of waitlist in place to ensure a full enrollment.

has anyone heard any news today?

The suspense is killing me! I wan’t to know so bad and my mailman probably thinks I’m insane :(

I don’t think NU waitlists transfers.

Rejected but not too surprised. Should have stayed at my first school if I wanted to transfer to NU. Not CC friendly at all.

When did u hear?

The letter came in the mail on June 3rd.

^DreamingBig you got into some other top schools right?

^ I was accepted into UVA and UNC.

Good luck to everyone else. :)

Is it worth it to call the office and see if they can do anything to rush my decision? I need to know for another school by Friday!

Eh, if you’re really desperate, I noticed last year’s students were able to find out via phone whether or not a decision had been made (just not the decision). Working from that, if they have made a decision, you could call FedEx and see if they have a package for you. If not–chances are, it’s a rejection. This is kind of a long, roundabout way of deduction, but seems to be how some did it in the past.

I… will not be joining in on the crazy.
