Has anyone received their financial aid award yet? I saw on another thread the release date was March 25. I’ve been checking the CAESER portal, but it just says information unavailable. Should I contact the financial aid office?
I called the financial aid office and they said they would release them starting the 28th. But the admitted students website still says the 25th, so there’s a chance it could be today… If it’s not within the next 4 hours I would assume they’re coming Monday.
.
Yeah I was wondering about that, too. Then I checked the undergrad financial aid website and under announcements it says FA decisions will be available beginning March 28. Sigh, I’m still hoping it’ll come out today!
Mine is up
@Ethan1101: So, good news?
Yes, less than half the price of all of my other choices. I can finally relax for the first time since this whole college process started.
Congratulations! I was essentially in your situation when I was accepted to NU 29 years ago. NU made it a no-brainer decision for me.
D is still waiting for FA notification from NU. Unfortunately, I fear we will qualify for no need-based aid, and if that’s the case she will be unable to attend. $280,000 is simply too much to pay for undergraduate education.
Thank you! I really hope everything works out for you and your daughter. Hopefully you’re pleasantly surprised. I’m sure things will work out, even if it isn’t at NU.
I just checked and mine is up! They were very generous! Have hope!
Congratulations to everyone. If you don’t mind sharing, was your award close to or equivalent to the net price calculator results?
@MarathonMom7 My finaid award was actually around $2,000 more than what the net price calculator predicted
Thank you for sharing Peggy.
Did anyone get any email when their award was up or Caesar just updated randomly?
Did everyone get theirs? We still haven’t heard!
Still waiting here.
Did everyone get the FA information?
I checked it on Saturday night and they had posted the information. Almost full tuition (just about $600 less) scholarship; but, NW award is more of need based and not entirely merit based. I would love to attend it or Pitt with (OOS) full tuition scholarship; since these are the ones that brings my net COA to an amount that matches my FAFSA EFC without any loans. But, the combined medical program acceptances is making the choice harder; still waiting for them to give the FA information.
PS: Rejected post interview from NW HPME.
@meddoc007, are you waiting for Pitt GAP decisions that will be available by April 15 (very likely several days early). GL
Unfortunately, no.
