I have not shadowed any physician yet but I plan on doing that over the summer. Correct me if I'm wrong but shadowing is very important for direct medical programs right?

Also, what would you guys recommend that I do with this upcoming summer (other than study for the Chem Subject Test) in order to further my chances for HPME?

Thank you so much! :)

NWU HPME: Reach

Northwestern for undergraduate is a reach. The med school and undergrad combined program is arguably the best one available to high school seniors. It is extremely hard to get it and it is a high reach for anyone.

Thank you. What do you think my chances are at Ivy League or Ivy League Caliber schools? And what do you think I could do to better my chances?

You have as good of a chance as anyone. Your stats are practically perfect and your ECs are meaningful. Despite that ivies are very hard to get into. Make sure you have some safeties and matches to couple with your application to the ivies. For your essays, make them show who you truly are and devote some time to them. Other than winning an international olympiad or curing cancer, there is not much more you can do to bolster your application. Good Luck
