D rec’d email this afternoon offering an interview… dates offered were last week in Feb / First week in March. So, don’t give up!

Do u get notified by email or regular postal mail for interveiw offers ?

^ interview notification is by email.
I think the actual decision is by reg mail though

Still no email or mail notification.
Starting to get anxious :(

since the last interviews are like march 3rd or something, im guessing this will be the last notification week-since ppl need to book flights, etc.

I just got a rejection letter in the mail, so I guess interview notifications are nearly complete! :(

Awww man :(

:'( so bummed.

Still a glimmer of hope, xamazingnessx. Don’t give up too soon!

no news yet. still waiting!

I received an interview invitation by e-mail yesterday.
So there is still chance :)

I’m currently in HPME and I’ve been hosting prospective HPME students throughout February. Student Admissions Council just sent out an e-mail saying that the last week of February is the last opportunity to host. I remember I got my decision about the program around March 28th and they need time to decide. Chances are that interviews are wrapping up. To those of you that have interview this week: good luck!

Ahh, nvm. I got figured out.

my sister is currently enrolled in the program, do you think thatll help my chances?

Is a 720 on the Chem SAT II too low for this program? I know that HPME doesn’t judge their applicants solely on grades/scores, but what is the “cut-off point” for test scores?
Will an otherwise strong application counter this low SAT score?

I’m currently a junior in high school. I have a 3.94 UW GPA, 34 on ACT, and 720 on Chem SAT II.
I plan on taking the Bio and Math II SATs in a few months and I am going to get hospital experience and do research over the summer.
I truly enjoy medicine, but I am afraid that my low SAT score will give me a disadvantage.

If there is one thing which will give you a disadvantage, it’s that you have not pursued medical activities until the summer before applying. That’s just what it seems like from your post. Plus, hospital volunteering really doesn’t mean much at all to programs - most accepted students go FAR beyond this in their medical activities.

Hmm…I guess that is true. Thanks for your help!

HPME–when should the decisions come out?

GREAT QUESTION… anybody know when and how you will find out results of your HPME interview?

i think it comes by regular mail around april 1st
