Honestly, I think you'll get deferred and get the chance too boost your SAT. If you don't you will likely be rejected, if you do (over a 2100) you have a decent shot.

Sorry, I don't think you have a reasonable chance for ED. The scores just aren't high enough, and the EC's are probably slightly below average for Northwestern. Like the previous poster said, you will have a better chance if you can raise your SAT scores to about 1400+ (old format). I still think it will be difficult for you considering how competitive NW is.

The other thing that might help would be to take the Math IIC in January - if you are in AP Calc now it would just take a bit of review. Then, if you are deferred, you would have that for RD.

Thanks guys. No they do not defer and that is why I agree I most likely wont get in.
I am also applying to University of Chicago, UofM, Cornell, Boston College, NYU, and Boston University.

just from admissions statistics (i am applying to NW next year) you will definitely want to raise your Math IIC score.... UChicago should be a match, if you don't get in to NW. Best of luck though! NW admits 64% of kids who have between a 29 and a 32...so my input is with ur GPA, you might get in. dunno really though its a tough school

hmmm where do u live? what do u do during your summers? how r ur ap scores?

just aim me at hfvira06 and i'll tell u my stats that got me into NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY...

i have a pretty good idea what northwestern looks for...4 of my cousins went thur northwestern...and my bro...now me...just msg me and i'll help

Might want to look at some SAT optional schools like Holy Cross or Bowdoin. HC has a Jan.15 deadline and nice campus-1 hour from Boston. Bowdoin may be a little more difficult.
