Northwestern ISP and engineering?

Hey guys,
Does anybody know how difficult ISP and engineering are together?

ISP + one of ChemE is probably the most difficult major combination in the school. ISP+AppMath and ISP+EE follow pretty closely.

I’d put ISP + other engineering and ISP + Math/Physics on the same level as MMSS+Math+Kellogg: still extremely difficult.

It’s not a route for the faint of heart, but if you can handle it, ISP + engineering can be extremely rewarding.

@1d51jklad1 Have you tried or are in ISP?

My son did ISP. It was challenging but not overwhelming, although his second major/degree was not engineering. One thing he really appreciated was that he was allowed a lot of freedom. Kids did their labs at 2 am or 7 am or whenever they had time. They didn’t have to follow a rigid schedule for that.

@Mom103 would you consider "challenging " to be time consuming or conceptually difficult?

I would say both unless you are genius-level or already at a (regular college’s) soph/junior level.

OP: do you consider yourself a science geek? Think of the type at CalTech.

Well… I like science and typically do well in it, but that’s pretty much it. I read a science article probably once every 2 weeks or so. @IWannaHelp
