Northwestern or UC Berkeley

I will be studying economics at both. I'm so excited! Although it's a tough decision, I'm glad I have these two amazing schools as options. I need some help making my decision... Where, in your opinion, will I receive the best overall undergraduate experience? Although Berkeley will be the cheaper option (I live less than 20 minutes away from it), I'm concerned about Berkeley's large class size and impersonal/cutthroat nature.

So, what do you guys think?

Thanks!

They are both great schools. Both are neck-and-neck when it comes to academic prestige. However, my personal view on this is that --if you’re Asian, NU would be the better choice for you, if you can handle NU’s very cold weather, because if you will go to Berkeley, you’ll just be another smart Asian guy. If you’re not, however, Berkeley would be great for you.

As for the program prestige, they really are neck-and-neck. No one is better than the other.

Northwestern is not worth any extra cost. Berkeley is a great place. I would opt for Cal.
