northwestern reputation

do graduate school admission committees look favorably at northwestern university, I am looking into to graduate school at schools like MIT, Stanford, harvard and princeton for applied math and was wondering if those schools consider northwestern' applied math undergrad program to be top notch.

Think Putnam score and other specials that you bring to the table. Seeking a PhD I presume? Princeton is a hard admit for advanced math. Applied I think makes it a bit dicey. I have two math buddies, one just left MIT the other P'ton. Why no mention of NYU? Applied is very strong.

I hate NYC lol

Oh well, turn down a top program for dislike of the Apple. Scratch that one.

Northwestern is an excellent university, but that won't get you far. The rest of your application will carry you. The name of the undergrad university matters little.
