Why are you Northwestern students taking this so personally?

I already apologized. What else do you want me to do??

haha that wasn’t directed at you…it was more in general (ie. prodigalson if you’ve read some of his posts).

@ brebeuff:

Okay, so the more I’ve thought about your (false) accusation, the more it didn’t sit well with me.

I said something to the effect that in certain parts of the world where rice is consumed daily, rice is respected. I am not “making fun” of any people(s) or cultures. (I myself, before I went off to college, ate rice almost every day at home.) If I had said that some people(s) eat pasta daily, would you have said that I was “making fun” of European cultures?!?!

The point that I was trying to make in the Rice thread is that most people in the world only know rice as a food and not a university. So why worry about its (lack of) recognition?

dude you’re extremely overthinking this. it’s been days and this is still on your mind? jesus. I was half-joking when I responded to your Rice and Asians comment…re-read my post. I did not take offense to that comment at all, although you were clearly trying to make fun of Rice.
