Northwestern SoC or USC Annenberg?

Hi all,

I have been fortunate enough to be accepted into both Northwestern School of Communication (Radio/Television/Film major) and USC Annenberg School of Communication & Journalism (Communication major).

I wanted to ask your opinion on which school would offer a better curriculum or program. I have read dozens of pages regarding both schools and its majors. I also want to ask about internship and co-curricular activities. I understand that USC has stellar alumni network and connection since it is located in Los Angeles. However, Northwestern is more "prestigious" in terms of its reputation and ranking.

Please let me know your thoughts! Anything will be helpful! Thank you!

I’m going to have to give the advice I give on pretty much every thread like this. Which school do you like better? Different weather, two very different cities, double the amount of undergrads, etc.

The issue is this – I prefer Northwestern’s campus and reputation; but I prefer USC’s communication program and courses.

Why do you prefer USC’s communication program and courses? Because it’s in LA? Northwestern’s RTF program is possibly the best. And reputation doesn’t matter, especially not between these two.

Really need to know your long term goals in RTF/comm to help.

I want to work as a television or film producer in the future.
