<p>I've heard tons of different opinions about the social life at NU. These range from there is none, to everyone is very preppy and wheres expensive accessories, to no partying to some to a lot. What is it really like? Also, are girls really pretty there? or not? or average? Or haha anything really. Just wondering.</p>
<p>also, is there a hardcore scene in evanston? Like if bands like titlefight play in chicago, does anyone care?</p>
<p>I am at Northwestern now, and basically, the social scene is what you make of it. I would definitely say that everyone is NOT “really preppy,” etc. NU is really diverse and people come from all types of backgrounds, so the idea that everyone is rich and has expensive stuff is just stupid and wrong. There is partying almost every night if you are looking for that, but there are also people who just chill in the dorm lounges/library/student center at night, too, so there’s no pressure.</p>
<p>Uh, as an NU girl, there are some great-looking girls and some not-so-great-looking girls. As you’ll find at any school. Girls are generally better-looking than guys here.</p>
<p>haha oh ya i’ve heard that girls are. Thats funny and good news. But no im not in to the whole party thing so Im just hoping there are a bunch of kids who don’t like it either</p>
