Northwestern Transfers Fall 2017

Waitlisted. Lol

still havent heard anything :frowning: every wednesday morning for the last few weeks i’ve had to give myself a peptalk in case i didnt get in. Fingers crossed for next week. I’m kind of worried about finding housing though

Well at least there were more decisions this week. Well more decisions on this thread I mean. They weren’t lying when they said sometime in May,because the way its looking that’s when I feel the people, including myself don’t have a decision yet will get it. It is all a mind fuck now.

@SunZhaoyu what time did you find out?

still no email or anything for me

does anyone think they will release more decisions tomorrow evening? they’ve done that before right?

@spanishivy Nah. Never. It’s either going to be next week Wednesday or Thursday.

does requesting ur admission decision to be rushed hurt ur chances

6 ppl are admitted on this thread till now.

Maybe the longer the hold out the better our chances are /:

I really hope my decisions not to come out so soon know.

well 6 ppl from the thread… Also, you gotta consider that there r limited spots by schools. So not sure if there are more spots for me in NU engineering tbh… I know like 3 ppl who got into NU engineering as of now

I applied CS in CAS. @inordie

@luckybaby I applied to McCormick :< have u gotten into any school yet?

Nop… No decision of mine has been out yet except umich. (But it had a wrong understanding on our GPA, and doesn’t accept appeal. So sad till now) @inordie

Posting for my daughter who GOT ACCCEPTED to communications!!! Very excited!!

Here are my stats for future engineering applicants in particular:

Decision: Accepted

State: NJ
College: top 75ish engineering school
Prospective Sophomore
Major: Mechanical Engineering
GPA: 3.96
ECs: Baja Team, Cultural Clubs, Internship @F500 aerospace company, active in fraternity and boy scouts (eagle scout), E-board couple of clubs, etc
HS: gpa 3.95
SAT 2200 and like 4 subject tests around 750 ish

Recommendations: I think these might have made the difference for me, as I am by no means an above average applicant. My advisor is a phd from northwestern in mechanical engineering and i had two other solid recommendations (I believe) from my philosophy professor and career advisor who really know my personality.

Everyone going to get in somewhere lol if we are applying to NU we obviously are not the average student. Good luck to everyone

Congratulations! 7 ppl now.

Congrats!! What time was the acceptance sent out and what major?

Got the email at 5:15 and I applied to the Mccormick school of engineering as a mechanical engineering major
