<p>As some have said “you either are a Chicago person or you aren’t” I would say the same holds for Duke. 1) It is the South and if you are not from the South it takes some getting used to, (like many parts of the country) 2) There is a greater divide IMO between students than many campus based on culture, class status, region of the country one is from.</p>
<p>I think you should visit if you haven’t already, if you are thinking about going. </p>
<p>I think I would go with Amherst if you are down to those two choices.</p>
