Northwestern Uni, does it have a good film program?!?

I want to go to NYU, but the cost is way too high!! I'm not sure if I'll get the money for it!! So I want to have a backup film school. I know USC has an excellent film school but the cost per year is exactly like NYU. I heard that Northwestern has a good film program, but I hardly know anything about them. If you guys can give me your opinion about Northwestern or any advices on this school's film program, I would really appreciate it!!

I’m pretty sure NU is more expensive than USC or NYU

Actually Concerto, NYU is slightly more expensive than NU or USC.

The estimated cost of attending NYU Tisch is $58,000/year. The estimated cost of attending Northwestern is $53,000. I could not find USC’s cost of attendance details on their website, but I am fairly certain it costs roughly as much as Northwestern.

Either way, attending one of those schools to study film is definitely expensive, regardless of which school one decides to go for. However, Northwestern can give good need-based aid. NYU and USC could potentially do the same.

You should also check out Wesleyan University. Even though it is a LAC, it has a well respected Film program and LACs can sometimes give good need-based aid.

I also recommend applying to a cheaper alternative, such as Florida State or UT-Austin in case those the private universities do not give any aid. FSU and UT cost roughly $35,000-$40,000.

May I suggest you look at the SCA website and see what USC offers. The new cinema complex is incredible. Also, use the search feature on YouTube. Each program in SCA has a video explaining the courses and opportunities available.
USC is known for fine financial aid. The budget for aid was increased by 8% this year. If your dream is SCA apply and see what financial package is offered. More than 60% of SC undergraduates received some type of need-based aid.
If at all possible try to visit the campus and tour the amazing complex.

For the incoming class of 2008-2009 the estimated cost, including books and fees:
$52,118.
