My daughter is undecided about her major, but is leaning toward history/political science. Iā€™m wondering if there is any advantage/disadvantage to selecting ā€œUndecidedā€ vs. ā€œHistoryā€ on the application.

As they donā€™t admit by major I donā€™t think it would make any difference unless she will be including in her essay or elsewhere a story about a long term passionate interest in history in which case it would be odd not to select it.

When are they releasing ED decisions (canā€™t seem to phrase this correctly :laughing:)?

My guess is Dec16 as it corresponds to the Friday (dec 17) they released last year.

College Kickstart has it listed as the 16th and it ā€˜officialā€™ but there are no other online sources (e.g., NU) to confirm.

I think on December 16 (next friday) as that corresponds to the friday Dec 17 they released last year. Also last year they announced the decision release date a few days in advance.

Does NU defer a large number of ED applicants to RD or are they more likely to reject them outright?

I think they reject almost everyone they donā€™t accept
